International Roma and Sinti Genocide Remembrance Day

With the decision from 2011 the Polish Parliament made 2nd August the Roma and Sinti Genocide Remembrance Day.

At night of 2-3 August 1944 in KL Auschwitz II-Birkenau Germans started the liquidation of Zigeunerfamilienlager, the Gypsy family camp.

The International Roma and Sinti Genocide Remembrance Day is one of the most important days for the Roma society and for other nations, when we pay tribute to Roma and Sinti murdered during World War II.
